Prescription Drugs and Medicines

                               Prescription Drugs and Medicines

Your pet must be initially seen by a vet in order for prescription medications to be dispensed for them.

Repeat prescriptions require your pet to be checked every 6 months (with the exception of flea and worming treatments for which your pet needs to be seen at least once every 12months).

A written prescription can be obtained from a vet ,if required, at the cost of £10.00 per medication.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my pet have to have regular checks?

It is against the law for a vet to supply prescription medication without having seen the pet for which they are required. Health conditions can change, so regular checks ensure your pet has the correct medication at the correct dosage, ensuring effective treatment.

How do I order repeat prescriptions?

Prescriptions take 24hours to process so should be ordered before you run out of medication. Please allow extra time at weekends and bank holidays. Medication ordered before 5.30pm will be available the following working day.
